Food Pantry

The Food pantry is sponsored by the Lower cape Outreach Council whose mission is to provide comprehensive assistance to those in need of immediate support and to encourage long term self sufficiency.

The pantry is open to all customers who live or work in Provincetown and who meet certain income guidelines.  Once an initial intake form is submitted customers are free to shop every other week.  There is no limit on the number of bags they can fill.  The pantry is currently open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am-2pm.  The pantry is closed Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks.

Groceries are supplied by the Greater Boston Food Bank and through generous donations from community groups and individuals.  Donations of non-perishable groceries can be dropped off in the shopping cart inside the front door of the church.  Items should be in good condition, not opened, and not past their sell-by date.  Monetary donations are also gratefully accepted.  Checks can be made out to the Provincetown United Methodist Church with “Food pantry” noted in the memo section.  They can be mailed to the church or dropped off at the church office in the morning Monday-Thursday.
